Additional Information for College Seniors
Exceptional individuals who demonstrate a strong sense of purpose and drive can benefit from the opportunity to move immediately into graduate management education from their undergraduate studies. The Rady School welcomes applications from undergraduates who have excelled academically and personally and who can articulate their reasons for continuing directly to the MBA program.
The Rady School of Management's emphasis on innovation and the movement of ideas to the marketplace will feel "right" to undergraduates whose education and other experiences have led them to see the importance of innovation for making an impact in the world, and we are very interested in meeting those who know that they want to make an impact in business and the world. Undergraduate majors in science or engineering or technical disciplines are particularly relevant to the Rady School's emphasis, but these are by no means the only majors we consider.
If you are interested in the Rady School, we welcome information that helps us understand why you are choosing to go immediately onto an MBA program and what you hope to gain from the MBA. What goals do you have? What experiences—in classes, clubs, other student organizations, volunteer activities, internships, in your own entrepreneurial ventures or family business—have led you to see the importance of innovation and allowed you to demonstrate your creativity and your drive for excellence?
We also want to understand where you have had experiences in teams and in collaborative environments. The Rady MBA program is highly collaborative and collegial, and your ability to work effectively in diverse teams—and to add value to teams which include members with years of professional experience—is important in the evaluation of your candidacy for admissions.
