Rady School of Management at UC San Diego

Invest in Rady

We have the opportunity to strengthen the Rady School’s impact, both locally and nationally. To date, more than $90 million has been raised for the Rady School. Additional funding is needed to bring the best and brightest faculty and students to the school, to support the Rady School campus; and to create professional centers within the school, joint programs with other campus units and an endowed executive education program. Other specific giving opportunities are listed below.

Stensrud Challenge for Otterson Hall

Bill and Carol Stensrud made a $5 million challenge gift to the Rady School in order to leverage another $5 million in matching funds. The Stensruds will match each dollar given in pledges and gifts to the Otterson Hall Challenge.

Dean’s Venture Fund

The Rady School established the Dean’s Venture Fund to support the dean’s annual initiatives. This effort is chaired by Leo Spiegel, UC San Diego class of 1983. These funds are used to recruit the nation's top faculty and attract leading scholars, to educate leaders for innovation-driven organizations and to create a climate for innovative business and research collaboration.

The Rady Corporate EDGE

A hallmark of a thriving business school is its ability to strategically partner with industry leaders to create innovative programs. The Rady Corporate EDGE Program is designed to cultivate and nurture effective, long-lasting relationships between academia and the private sector. Financial support for operational needs, faculty recruitment, executive education, MBA programs and other needs of the Rady School qualifies companies for this program.

Endowed Fellowships

An endowed fellowship gift can support exceptional scholars for their MBA program — a worthy reward for a dedicated business student. Fellowships are vital as they remove economic barriers that may prevent promising students from choosing Rady. Fellowship funds can also support current students by easing the burden of paying for an MBA and allowing students to focus on academics, not economics.

Endowed Faculty Chairs

Rady is dedicated to attracting the best faculty to shape its future. To recruit and retain these scholars, Rady must be able to offer market-competitive packages. By creating a reliable source of annual support for the academic and research efforts of distinguished faculty, endowed chairs are integral to our ability to attract internationally-recognized experts who are leaders in their fields. The funds generated by an endowed chair can be invested in research, or any other needs at the chairholder's discretion — a powerful incentive to stay with Rady.
