Assistant Professor of Management and Strategy

Dr. Simonsohn received his Ph.D. from the Social and Decision Sciences department at Carnegie Mellon University in 2003. Prior to his role at UC San Diego, he was an assistant professor at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

He served as a visiting scholar in the marketing department at MIT from 2002-03 and at the economics department at UC Berkeley from 2006-07.

His research is interdisciplinary, combining psychological insights about cognitive, emotional and social processes that drive human behavior with methodological rigor, concern for practical applicability and awareness of markets and incentives from economics.
